Details of Each Event

1. Application Form Release

You can expect the JEE Advanced 2026 application form to be up and running in April of 2026. Only JEE Main candidates who meet the JEE Main cut-off and fall in the top 2,50,000 ranks will be permitted to register.

Tip – You should have everything ready, including your JEE Main scorecard, your photo ID, a category certificate if required, and your all academic records.

2. Last Date to Apply

The registration period is for a week or so after it goes live. There will be no late applications accepted, set your timelines in advance.

3. Admit Card Download

The admit card will be available about one week prior to the exam. You will have to reach the exam centre with an original print-out copy alongside a photo ID. Your admit card contains your exam centre address, shift timing and paper information.

4. JEE Advanced Exam Date

JEE Advanced 2026 is likely to take place on the last Sunday in May 2026, following previous trends. The exam comprises of two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2). Both papers will occur in two shifts. The students must attempt both papers.

5. Candidate Response Sheet

A few days after the exam, the organizing IIT will release your recorded responses. Once the provisional answer key will be available you will be able to calculate your expected score.

6. Provisional and Final Answer Keys

In the last week of May, the provisional answer key will be released. During that time, candidates can raise objections if they see any discrepancies. The final answer key will be released in the first week of June after the reviewing all objections.

7. Result Announcement

The results of JEE Advanced 2026 will be released in the second week of June 2026. Within your results will be your: 

  • Total score
  • Subject-wise marks
  • All India Rank (AIR)
  • Category rank (if applicable)

When the results are released, candidates will become eligible for JoSAA counselling which is the centralized counselling process for admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
