NEET 2025 Exam Analysis: Difficulty Level and Subject-Wise Breakdown

A thorough examination analysis helps understand question pattern, subject-wise weightage, and the overall degree of difficulty of the paper. This year exam was moderately difficult and was not all direct questions (straightforward or application based questions).

  • Biology: Biological studies are regarded as the most scoring subject, and Biology was the easiest among the three major subjects. Simple NCERT questions were asked with the highest weightage given to genetics, human physiology and ecology (higher weightage from Class 12 concepts/details).
  • Chemistry: Chemistry was moderately difficult. Organic chemistry included applying concepts, Physical chemistry was largely formulas and had to be calculative and Inorganic chemistry was largely NCERT based.
  • Physics: Physics had been the most difficult subject for students. Numericals and formula based problems were more frequent and were therefore challenging. Students needed to combine clear conceptual understanding and time at an expiry on problems
