In 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will oversee the administration of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2024) for medical, dental, AYUSH, and nursing courses in India. The NTA has officially revealed that the NEET 2024 examination is scheduled to take place on May 5, 2024.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:
● Age requirement
The candidates should be 17 years of age by 31st December 2024 to be eligible for the 2024 exam.
● Nationality
The candidates must be Indian citizens, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, or foreign nationals.
● Educational qualifications
Students who have cleared the 10+2 exam or equivalent are eligible to apply. Those appearing for the 12th exam can apply.
● Subjects
Students who have cleared the 10+2 exam or equivalent are eligible to apply. Those appearing for the 12th exam can apply.
● Subjects
To be eligible to apply for the exam, the candidate must be from the science stream, having studied chemistry, physics, biology, and English under a recognised board.
● Qualification examination scores
The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50 percent in the 3 science subjects. For reserved category candidates, the minimum requirement is 40 percent.
NEET Application & Dates
The process to apply for the NEET 2024 exam is given below:
● Step 1 – Visit the NEET UG registration portal.
● Step 2 – Click on New Registration under the Apply online link.
● Step 3 – Read the instructions carefully.
● Step 4 – Select the checkbox.
● Step 5 – Click on the Proceed option.
● Step 6 – Full out the registration form.
● Step 7 – Enter the security pin and click on submit.
● Step 8 – Note down the application number.
● Step 9 – Complete the application form.
● Step 10 – Upload the required documents.
● Step 11 – Pay the application fees.

NEET Exam Pattern
NEET 2024 Exam Pattern – The National Testing Agency will release the exam pattern for NEET 2024 on their official website. This exam pattern will be released along with the information brochure. As per the last year’s exam pattern of NEET, there will be 200 multiple-choice objective questions this year as well. These questions will be taken from the 3 subjects Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. Each question carries 4 marks according to the NEET 2024 marking scheme. There will be a deduction of 1 mark for each wrong answer. The total marks as per the NEET exam pattern will be 720.
