What is the eligibility for NSEC 2026–27?

To be eligible, students must be born between July 1, 2007, and June 30, 2012, hold a valid Indian passport, and be studying in India in Class XII or lower as of November 30, 2025. They must not have entered college before June 1, 2026.

Is NCERT enough to prepare for NSEC?

NCERT is the base, but not sufficient alone. NSEC tests deeper conceptual understanding and application-based questions. Olympiad-specific resources and mentorship from institutes like Origin Educare are recommended.

How many students qualify for NSEC each year?

Around the top 300–400 students (based on a national merit list and state-wise quota) qualify for the next stage – the Indian National Chemistry Olympiad (INChO).

Can I appear for NSEC and other NSE exams in the same year?

Yes, students can appear for multiple NSEs like NSEC, NSEP (Physics), and NSEB (Biology) in the same year, but not for NSEJS if they are in Class XI or above.

Does Origin Educare provide online coaching for NSEC?

Yes, Origin Educare offers both online and offline NSEC coaching, including live sessions, recorded lectures, doubt-solving classes, practice tests, and performance analysis.
