NEET 2026 Exam Pattern: Overview
The NEET UG exam pattern is expected to resemble NEET 2025 pattern. In 2025, NTA removed the optional questions from Section B. All the questions will be compulsory henceforward. The same pattern is expected for NEET 2026 unless NTA issues any notification mentioned otherwise.

NEET 2026 Exam Duration
NEET 2026 will be a duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). Students will need to do their best in time management as there will be no allowances for extra time and optional questions and each question will have to be attempted mindfully to avoid negative marking.

NEET 2026 Marking Scheme

- -1 mark for each wrong answer
- 0 marks for question not attempted
- No multiple answers: If you select more than one answer, it will be deemed wrong

- Biology: It was moderate to easy in difficulty; a subject which was easy to score
