Eligibility Criteria For JEE Main 2025

Basic Eligibility:

• Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear in JEE Main. Candidates can appear in JEE Mains irrespective of their age.
• Students: Anyone who can appear in the qualifying exam in the year 2025 will also be eligible to apply.
• Indian national candidates will be eligible to apply. Foreign candidates must have the required marks as stated by AIU.
• Qualification Criteria: Candidates must have qualified for the 12th-level examination. Candidates who have qualified for the 12th-level examination in 2022 or before will not be eligible to apply for JEE Main 2024.

Institutions-based Eligibility:

• Students who are willing to take admission in B.E./B.Tech., B.Arch./B.Plan. courses in IITs, CFTIs, and NITs, it is crucial to pass 12th with certain subject combinations such as:
• B.Arch: Mandatory subjects should pass 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics by students.
• B.E./B.Tech.: Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with 12th, along with Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subjects
• B. Plan: For students, it is essential to pass 12th with mathematics.

As we all know about JEE Mains, let’s talk about the State Code of Eligibility. Students will be required to fill out the state code of eligibility:

• Students must choose the state code of eligibility from which they have qualified for their intermediate exams.
• The eligibility will not depend upon the native place or residence of the candidate.
• According to their permanent address mentioned in their passports, Indian nationals passing their 12th in foreign countries will be required to choose their state code of eligibility as determined.

Step 1: The first step would be that students should open the JEE main official website and easily go through their website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: After visiting their official website, it’s time to select the mode of registration. Click on JEE Main 2025 Registration using Aadhar or PAN Number.

Step 3: Once students are done with selecting the mode of registration, fill in the details mentioned and click the submit button.

Step 4: If the registration is right, the application form 2025 will appear. Fill out the application form with all the required information mentioned there.

Step 5: There will be an option for a passport-size photo and signature. Upload it. Make sure the image and signature are clear and correct.

Step 6: After submitting all the informative information required, it’s time to submit the application fee because the application form will be submitted only after payment.

Step 7: After all the submissions, for the registration process, students will receive an email from the NTA with details of the candidate and application number.

Note: Students need to keep email and save all the details regarding the application form. And take a printout of the filled form.

• Students will be able to submit the application fees via debit/credit card/net banking method/UPI.
• Students who are from outside India will have to pay Rs. 5000 (boys), Rs. 4000 (girls), Rs. 4500 (Gen-EWS/OBC-NCL), Rs. 2500 (SC/ST/PwD), and Rs. 3000 for the third gender.
